With everyday items getting more and more expensive, many of us are looking for ways to make the most of our money. An excellent way to do that is to use cashback sites when shopping online or shopping for groceries. Cashback websites give you back a percentage of the money you spent on your purchase. Cashback sites receive a commission from the retailer for directing you to their site which they then pass on to you. There are also various shopping apps that give you money back when you buy certain items.
Top Cashback is my favourite cashback site and the one I have been using the longest. Before I place an order online, I always check to see if Top Cashback offers cashback on the retailer I am shopping with. Retailers that I shop with regularly through Top Cashback are Ebay, Tesco, George and Very. If you are thinking of changing your energy supplier then always check out Top Cashback to see if they offer cashback for switching. I recently changed my gas and electricity supplier and got £70.00 cashback! Also check for cashback if you are renewing insurance or taking out a financial product as there are good sized rewards in these categories.
They also run regular cash back giveaways where you have to follow a clue to find a treat. They usually run around holiday times like Christmas and Easter. It is possible to win between 10p and £100 instantly or £1000 in their prize draw.
Top Cashback pays out via Paypal or directly in to your bank account. They offer up to a 10% bonus if you choose to have your cashback rewards paid in vouchers such as Amazon, Debenhams, M&S and Love2Shop.
Quidco is another cashback site similar to Top Cashback. I mostly use Top Cashback but for big purchases I will compare both sites to see which is offering the best deal. Quidco also offer instore cashback at a variety of retailers including Vodafone, Jojo Maman Bebe and JD Sports. There is a shopping app called ClickSnap by Quidco that gives you cashback on certain groceries, just upload your receipt to receive the cashback.
Swagbucks is a Get Paid To site where you earn Swagbucks for doing various tasks. One way to earn is by clicking through to a retailer from Swagbucks and shopping with them. For example click through to Argos and earn up to 2 Swagbucks for every pound you spend. Swagbucks can be exchanged for vouchers such as Amazon, M&S, Sainsbury’s and also as Paypal cash. As well as earning Swagbucks for shopping through the site you can also earn them for answering the daily poll, watching videos, playing games and doing surveys. By doing some of these tasks each day it’s fairly easy to earn £20-£30 a month from Swagbucks.
Receipt Hog is a phone app that rewards you for uploading pictures of your receipts. Each receipt is worth between 5-20 coins depending on how much you have spent. Coins can then be exchanged for gift cards or cash. 1000 coins can be exchanged for a £3 Amazon Gift Card. 1500 coins can be redeemed for £5 cash sent via Paypal.
There are also challenges to complete such as upload a receipt each each for 4 weeks. If you complete the challenge you are rewarded with free slot spins. You can then spin the slot machine and if you win you are rewarded with coins. This app won’t make you rich but as it only takes 5 minutes a week to upload receipts it’s worth the effort.
Shoppix is another app that rewards you for uploading receipts. You will get 25 tokens for uploading a receipt and a bonus 5 tokens if you upload on the day of purchase. You can only upload one receipt per shop per day. Remember to upload within a week of your purchase as after that they won’t be valid. Tokens can also be earned by answering the weekly survey and through scratch cards. When you have earned 3200 tokens you can cash out £5 to Paypal. I cash out £5 most months. It doesn’t sound like much but it is worth it as it takes less than a minute to upload a receipt. If you sign up with my referral code DPGIQA7H we will both get 200 tokens.
